Terms of reference
- To provide oversight of the authorisation, reauthorisation and monitoring of all pre- and post-admission courses and schemes
- On request, to review the decision-making process for individual awards of authorisation, reauthorisation and following monitoring visits
- To provide advice to the Education and Training Committee, where requested, on the adequacy of its own proposals for the assessment of pre- and post-admission standards
- To provide advice to the Education and Training Committee, where requested, on the adequacy of proposals put forward by external providers for assessing pre- and post-admission standards
- To provide reports to the board, through the Education and Training Committee on the adequacy of arrangements for ensuring that authorisation, reauthorisation and monitoring of course and scheme providers are of appropriate quality and consistency
- To alert the board, through the Education and Training Committee, to any trends emerging from the reports provided by monitors and/or technical advisers, concerning the quality of training and assessment providers, the costs of training and assessment and/or the numbers of students/professionals seeking training and/or assessment, or other matters, as the committee sees fit
