Warning: Websites misusing the name of A H Fitzgerald Solicitors Limited

Websites are operating from and, which falsely claim to be for a law firm providing legal services.

What is the scam?

The websites operating using the addresses of and falsely claim to be for the firm of A H Fitzgerald Solicitors.

The website misuses the names and details of some genuine solicitors (see below). It also refers to a Mr Yomtov Eliezer Jacobs. The details appear to have been taken from Companies House records for a genuine firm of the same name (see below). The SRA does not authorise or regulate a genuine individual named Yomtov Eliezer Jacobs.

The website refers to six individuals as being lawyers, attorneys or solicitors. The website specifically refers to two of the individuals as being solicitors, Charles Garrett and William Coghlan. None of the individuals referred to on the website, including William Coghlan and Charles Garrett, are regulated or authorised by the SRA.

Both websites referred to above misuse the postal address of a genuine firm of Solicitors, please see below. The website "" also lists its telephone numbers as (0) 845 486 0644 and (0) 203 695 9483.

Any business or transactions conducted through the websites "" and "www.ahfitzgerald-solicitorsltd", or the telephone numbers referred to above, are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

A H Fitzgerald Solicitors Ltd is a genuine firm which is authorised and regulated by the SRA. It is the recognised sole practice of Andrea Fitzgerald, who is a genuine solicitor authorised and regulated by the SRA. It has a genuine office address of 3 Park Avenue, Eccleston Park, Prescot, Liverpool, Merseyside L34 2QY and its genuine telephone number is 0777 989 5045.

The genuine Andrea Fitzgerald has confirmed that her firm does not have a website. The SRA also regulates and authorises a genuine solicitor named Charles Coghlan.

Both genuine solicitors Andrea Fitzgerald and Charles Coghlan have confirmed that they have no genuine connection to the websites referred to in this alert.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
