The Tribunal has certified that there is a case to answer in respect of allegations which are or include :-
1) Failure to keep books of account properly written up
2) Failure to carry out reconciliations of client bank account as required.
The allegations are subject to a Hearing before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and are as yet unproven.

Decision details
To grant Mr Ram Aasra Doug a practising certificate for the practice year 2010/2011subject to the following conditions:
1. he is not a sole practitioner or sole director of recognised body;
- 1.1 he is not a manager or owner of a recognised body where all the other managers or owners
- 1.11 have less than 3 years experience practising as a lawyer in a firm regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority unless the arrangements have first been approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
- 1.12 are recognised bodies of which he is a sole director.
- 1.2 Mr Doug shall immediately inform any actual or prospective employer, co-manager, or co-owner of these conditions and the reasons for their imposition.
- 1.3 that in the event that he holds client money, he delivers half yearly Accountant’s Reports, such Reports and any Cease To Hold Report required, to be delivered within 2 months of the end of the period to which they relate.
Reasons/basis
 The Solicitors Regulation Authority are satisfied that it is a reasonable, necessary, appropriate and proportionate that the Solicitors Regulation Authority imposes the above practising certificate conditions at the present time.
