This notification relates to a Decision to prosecute before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. This is an independent Tribunal which will reach its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Solicitor. The Tribunal has certified that there is a case to answer in respect of allegations which are or include :-
- 1. Failure to remedy a shortfall in client account promptly.
- 2. Acting in irregular property transactions.
- 3. Failure to report material facts to lender clients.
- 4. Acting for both lender and buyer where there was a conflict of interest.
The allegations are subject to a Hearing before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and are as yet unproven.

1.3 Mr Akhtar shall immediately inform any actual or prospective employer, co-manager, or co-owner of these conditions and the reasons for their imposition.
2. Mr Akhar may accept instructions in relation to residential and commercial conveyancing only with the approval of the other managers, who are responsible for ensuring adequate supervision of Mr Akhar’s conveyancing activities.
Reasons/basis
The Adjudicator is satisfied that the above conditions are necessary and appropriate in the interests of the public, in view of concerns arising regarding his professional conduct, particularly in relation to certain conveyancing matters.
