An Authorised Officer decided to grant Mr Lewis a practising certificate for the practice year 2009/2010 subject to the conditions that: 1.he may act as a solicitor only in employment which has first been approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. 2. he is not a member, office holder or shareowner of an incorporated solicitors practice. 3. He is not a sole principal, partner or salaried partner of any solicitors practice. 4. Mr Lewis shall immediately inform any actual or prospective employer of these conditions and the reasons for their imposition.
Reasons/basis
In light of Mr Lewis' regulatory history including his appearance before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal the Authorised Officer was satisifed that it was in the public interests to permit Mr Lewis to practise only in an environment which offered him an additional level of support and supervision.
