Decision details
To grant Mr Alfred Bruce Curtis Turner a practising certificate for the practice year 2009/2010 subject to the conditions that (1) he may act as a solicitor only in employment or partnership or as a manager or owner of a recognised body, the arrangements for which have first been approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority; and (2) Mr Turner shall immediately inform any actual or prospective employer, partner, co-manager or co-owner of these conditions and the reasons for their imposition.
Reasons/basis
In light of Mr Turner's recent appearance before the Solicitors' Disciplinary Tribunal on 18 December 2008 where breaches of the Solicitors' Practice Rules 1990, the Solicitors' Introduction and Referral Code 1990, the Costs information and Client Care Code 1999 and the Solicitors' Accounts Rules 1998 had been substantiated, the SRA was satisfied that it was in the interests of the public that Mr Turner's practice as a solicitor should continue to be subject to an appropriate level of supervision and support.

Decision details
To grant Mr A B C Turner a practising certificate for the practice year 2011/2012 free from conditions.
Reasons/basis
The Authorised Officer was satisfied that it would not be necessary, reasonable or proportionate in the interests of protection of the public to impose any practising certificate condition at this time. The Authorised officer was also satisfied that none of the purposes specified in Regulation 7 of the SRA Practising Regulations 2011 make it necessary in the interests of the public to impose any practising certificate condition. Accordingly, the Authorised Officer authorised the issue of an unconditional practising certificate.
