Decision details
The Authorised Officer decided to grant Ms Louise Caroline Lee a practising certificate for the practice year 2010/2011 subject to the condition that she is not a sole signatory to any client account and is not responsible for the firm's accounting functions.
Reasons/basis
Ms Lee has stated her continued compliance with her IVA and also the considerable efforts that she is making in order to continue her practice. However, as Ms Lee has yet to complete her IVA, the Authorised Officer considered that it remained in the public interest that Ms Lee's practising certificate for the year 2010/2011 should continue to be subject to the condition that she is not a sole signatory to any client account and she is not responsible for the firm's accounting functions.
The above condition does not mean that there are concerns about Ms Lee's integrity or honesty but are imposed solely as a regulatory measure for the reasons set out above.
In making the above decision I have had regard to Regulation 6.1(b) of the SRA Practising Regulations.

Decision details
The Authorised Officer DECIDED to grant Ms Louise Caroline Lee a practising certificate for the practice year 2011/2012 free from conditions.
Reasons/basis
Ms Lee was subject to Regulation 3.1(k)(ii) of the SRA Practising Regulations 2011, as a result of being subject to an IVA.
As of October 2011, Ms Lee was no longer subject to the IVA as all of its conditions had been satisfied.
The Authorised Officer was satisfied therefore that it would not be necessary, reasonable or proportionate in the interests of protection of the public to impose any practising certificate condition. The Authorised Officer was also satisfied that none of the purposes specified in Regulation 7 of the SRA Practising Regulations 2011 made it necessary in the interests of the public to impose any practising certificate condition. Accordingly, The Authorised Officer authorised the issue of an unconditional practising certificate.
