To exercise the powers conferred by Section 16(4) Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended) and Regulations 6 and 7 SRA Practising Regulations 2011 to terminate the automatic suspension of Mr McBride's practising certificate (2010/2011) subject to conditions that he (a) may act as a solicitor only in employment and (b) he is not a signatory to any client or office account and does not have the power to authorise electronic payments or transfers from any client or office account.
Reasons/basis
On 20 June 2011, Mr McBride was adjudged bankrupt in the Manchester County Court. The Adjudicator was satisfied that the above conditions were reasonable, necessary and appropriate in the interests of the public, having regard to Mr McBride's financial circumstances.
