Pursuant to Section 16(3)(b) and Section 16(4) of the Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended) and Regulations 5 and 6 of the SRA Practising Regulations 2009, to terminate the suspension of Mr Graham Roy Atfield's practising certificate for the time being in force (2008/2009) in the event of a Bankruptcy Order being made against him within 3 months of the date of this decision, subject to the following conditions(a) he may act as a solicitor only in employment which has first been approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority;(b) he is not a sole practitioner or manager or owner of a recognised body;(c) Mr Atfield does not hold, receive or have access to client money and is not a signatory to any client accounts;(d) Mr Atfield shall immediately inform any actual or prospective employer of these conditions and the reasons for their imposition.
Reasons/basis
If Mr Atfield is declared bankrupt it is in the interests of the public that his practise as a solicitor should be subject to close supervision and support and, in view of his financial position, that he is restricted from having access to or responsibility for, client monies.

Reasons/basis
The SRA is satisfied that none of the purposes specified in Regulation 6 of the SRA Practising Regulations 2009 make it necessary in the interests of the public to impose any practising certificate condition. Accordingly the SRA authorised the issue of an unconditional practising certificate.
