Should he hold client money in the course of his practise as a solicitor, he delivers half yearly accountant's reports to the SRA, such reports and any cease to hold report required, to be delivered within 2 months of the end of the period to which they relate.
Reasons/basis
As Mr Way entered into an Individual Voluntary Arrangement on 14 June 2011, it is necessary to impose the above condition to protect the interests of clients and in order to facilitate closer monitoring by the SRA of his compliance with the rules and regulations of professional conduct, should he operate a client account in the course of his practice as a solicitor.
The imposed condition is not intended to cast doubt on the honesty or integrity of Mr Way but is purely a regulatory measure. The SRA publishes regulatory decisions when it considers it to be in the public interest. In accordance with the SRA's publication policy criteria, and in order to maintain public confidence in the regulatory system and to demonstrate transparency in the SRA's decision making processes, this decision should be published. None of the factors that would make publication inappropriate apply.

Reasons/basis
Mr Way is subject to Regulation 3.1 of the SRA Practising Regulations 2011, as detailed above, as a consequence of regulatory matters.
The Authorised Officer is satisfied that the above practising certificate condition continues to be necessary, proportionate and reasonable in the interests of the public, for the purposes specified in Regulation 7.1(e) of the SRA Practising Regulations 2011.

His practising certificate for 2012/2013 is issued subject to the following condition which are necessary, reasonable and proportionate in the public interest:
He shall only be co-signatory with at least one other solicitor who has been qualified for a minimum of 3 years.
These conditions are imposed having regard to the purposes set out in Regulation 7 of the SRA Practising Regulations 2011 and to the regulatory objectives contained in the Legal Services Act 2007 and the principles governing regulatory activities in section 28 of that Act.
