Decision details
To grant Ms Nancy Ballard a practising certificate for the practice year 2010/2011 subject to the following conditions:
- 1. Should Mrs Ballard hold client monies that she delivers half yearly accountants reports, such reports and any cease to hold report required, to be delivered within 2 months of the end of the period to which they relate;
- 2. Mrs Ballard undertakes courses (minimum 3 CPD hours per course) accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority on the Solicitors Code of Conduct 2007/SRA Handbook, Solicitors Accounts Rules 1998 and Practice Management within 2 months of the date of notification of this decision and provides confirmation of the completion of the courses (in the form of a certificate or letter of attendance from the course provider) at such course within one month of completion.;
- 3. Mrs Ballard does not take on any new trainee solicitors and does not have any responsibility for or be involved in the training, supervision or support of any trainee solicitor.
Reasons/basis
The Solicitors Regulation Authority are satisfied that it is a reasonable, necessary, appropriate and proportionate that the Solicitors Regulation Authority imposes the above practising certificate conditions at the present time.
