Decision details
On 30 March 2012 the Panel of Adjudicators Sub-committee resolved to intervene into the practice of Mr Ashok Kumar Sancheti who practised as Morgan Walker Solicitors Limited at 115a Chancery Lane, London, WC2 1PR on the grounds that:
1. There was a reason to suspect dishonesty on the part of the recognised bodies Morgan Walker Solicitors LLP and Morgan Walker Solicitors Limited.
2. Mr Sancheti and Morgan Walker Solicitors Limited had failed to comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules 1998 and Solicitors Accounts Rules 2011.
3. Mr Sancheti and Morgan Walker Solicitors Limited had failed to comply with the Code of Conduct 2007 and Code of Conduct 2011.
4. It was necessary to exercise powers of intervention in relation to Mr Sancheti and Morgan Walker Solicitors Limited to protect the interests of clients (or former or potential clients) of Mr Sancheti and Morgan Walker Solicitors Limited or the beneficiaries of any trust which Mr Sancheti or Morgan Walker Solicitors LLP or Morgan Walker Solicitors Limited is or was a trustee.
By virtue of the intervention Mr Sancheti’s Practising Certificate has been suspended with immediate effect.
