Decision details
To impose immediate conditions on the current registration of Mr Bajwa as a foreign lawyer, namely that:
1. He may act as a registered foreign lawyer only in employment which has first been approved by the SRA.
2. He is not a sole practitioner or a manager or owner of a recognised body.
3. In this condition, "manager" is as defined in section 207 of the Legal Services Act 2007 and "owner" is as defined in Rule 24 of the Solicitors' Code of Conduct.
4. He shall immediately inform any actual or prospective employer of these conditions and the reasons for their imposition.
5. The conditions at paragraphs 1 and 2 above shall take effect within 3 months from the date of notification of this decision. Paragraph 4 takes effect immediately.
Reasons/basis
It is in the interests of the public and the profession for the above conditions to be imposed on Mr Bajwa's current registration as a foreign lawyer.
