To grant Mr M M Ajayi a Practising Certificate for the practice year 2009/2010 subject to the condition that that he undertakes a course accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority on the Solicitors’ Code of Conduct 2007 within 6 months of the notification of this decision and provides confirmation of the completion of the course (in the form of a certificate or letter of attendance from the course provider) when he next applies for a practising certificate.
Reasons/basis
Mr Ajayi is subject to Regulation 3.1 (c) of the SRA Practising Regulations 2009.
The Adjuducator had regard to Regulation 6.1 (d) of the SRA Practising Regulations 2009 and considered the above conditions are necessary and appropriate in the interests of the public having regard to his regulatory history.
Note that all solicitors are required to undertake mandatory continuing professional development on an annual basis.
The effect of this condition is to direct Mr Ajayi to the training considered most appropriate in the course of the practice year 2009/2010.
