Decision details
Pursuant to the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s powers under Section 13A of the Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended) and Regulation 6 of the SRA Practising Regulations 2009, the Adjudicator DECIDED to impose the following immediate conditions upon the current (2009/2010) practising certificate of Mrs Humaira Khan that :-
1. Mrs Khan shall undertake within four months of the date of notification of this decision a course accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority on the Solicitors Code of Conduct 2007, in particular dealing with the requirements of Rule 2 – Client Relations; Rule 8 – Fee Sharing, Rule 9 – Referrals of Business and Rule 20 – Rights and Obligations of Practice.
Mrs Khan shall provide sufficient evidence to the SRA that she has attended these courses within 2 months of the completion of each course. For the avoidance of doubt a receipt in respect of the payment of course fees is not sufficient evidence.
