Decision details
To grant Mr Santosh Singh a practising certificate for the practice year 2011/2012 free from conditions.
Reasons/basis
The SRA have carefully considered Mr Singh’s regulatory history and note that in the interest of the public, conditions were imposed on his 2010/2011 practising certificate. The reasons for this are that at the time of the decision, Mr Singh’s conduct had been referred to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.
However,on 11 May 2011 a decision was made by the SRA to rescind the earlier Adjudicator’s decision of 1 March 2011. In light of the above and in the absence of any adverse regulatory history, the SRA consider that the conditions imposed on Mr Singh’s 2010/2011 practising certificate can now be removed.
The SRA are satisfied it would not be necessary, reasonable or proportionate in the interests of protection of the public to impose any practising certificate condition at this time.
