Decision details
An Adjudicator DECIDED to grant Ms Pritchard a practising certificate for the practice year 2009/2010 subject to the condition that she undertakes courses accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority on the Solicitors’ Code of Conduct 2007 and the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules 1998 within 6 months of the date of notification of this decision and provides confirmation of the completion of the courses (in the form of a certificate or letter of attendance from the course provider) when next applying for a practising certificate.
Reasons/basis
Ms Pritchard is subject to Regulation 3.1(b) and (c) of the SRA Practising Regulations 2009.
The Adjudicator has had regard to Regulation 6 of the SRA Practising Regulations 2009 which sets out the purposes for which conditions may be imposed on a practising certificate in the public interest. The Adjudicator considered that the condition to be imposed, requiring Ms Pritchard to take specified steps, will be conducive to her carrying on of efficient practice (Regulation 6.1 (d)).
