Activate your account
The completion date for activating mySRA accounts using an existing activation code was 13 January. For a new activation code, please go to Account activation.
Renewing your practising certificate
If your organisation renews your practising certificate for you, please make sure you have "opted in" to the bulk renewal application.
To "opt in", go to My profile then Professional details and check against your current post.
Becoming an authorised signatory
Only the authorised signatory can complete the declaration. The authorised signatory or organisation contact can complete the rest of the online firm renewal form.
To be an authorised signatory, you must be a manager who is a solicitor or registered European lawyer. To nominate yourself as the authorised signatory, you need to edit your Professional details in mySRA. You can then add the role of authorised signatory.
Adding the organisation contact role
Once you are the authorised signatory, you can nominate an organisation contact. To do this, go to My organisations in mySRA. Make sure the individual has an online account and holds a post within your organisation (go to Related individuals). You can then add the role of organisation contact.
Becoming an organisation contact
If you are not a solicitor, registered European lawyer, registered foreign lawyer, lawyer manager nor a non-lawyer manager and want to be an organisation contact, you will need to register via mySRA services.
Once you have registered, you need to give your ID number to the authorised signatory at your organisation. To find your ID number, log in to mySRA and go to My profile, then Personal details.
Completing the bulk renewal form
Before completing the bulk renewal form, you need to update your organisations details in mySRA. This includes the contact details and the lawyers that work for you. To add or remove lawyers, go to My organisations and then Related individuals.
You cannot update any manager joiners or leavers through My organisations. To notify us of any managers joining or leaving, you will need to complete a notification of manager change (NM1).
