Ban on referral fees in personal injury cases
The ban on the payment of referral fees in personal injury cases was introduced by the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (LASPO).
The Act received Royal Assent in May 2012 and the ban has effect from 1 April 2013.
