Applications for the 2008/09 practising year

The RF4 form for renewing your registration as a registered foreign lawyer will be sent to you by 13 October 2008. If you don't receive it by then, contact us. Download notes on completing RF4 (PDF 196K).

Compensation fund contribution for RFLs

The amount to be paid depends on whether the RFL has practised as a partner of a multinational partnership (or as a director or owner of a recognised body which is a company, or as a member of a recognised body which is an LLP), which has held or received client money during the practising year that ends on 31 October 2008.

The amount to be paid also depends on whether he/she has practised mainly from an office or offices outside England and Wales.

The contribution levels for an RFL are:
