Peter Duffy

Peter Duffy graduated in Chemistry. Following early experience with Tate and Lyle, Coats and Burmah Castrol, he joined BP in 1980. After an initial period working as a scientist, Peter developed a broad commercial career through marketing, strategy and general management roles across BP’s Refining and Marketing businesses.

Business leadership roles included appointments as MD of BP Energy Ltd, and as Divisional Manager for an international products business trading in 14 countries. More recently, Peter became Programme Director for a number of major strategy implementation activities, including the integration of the Castrol lubricants business, acquired by BP in 2000, and a process-led business transformation programme for BP’s Refining and Marketing businesses worldwide.

Peter is a member of the IoD and has completed the Institute’s Certificate in Company Direction.
