Dr Susan Bews

After qualifying in medicine, Susan Bews worked in general practice before joining the pharmaceutical industry. She worked as medical director for many years on both the research and commercial sides of the business. More recently she was elected President of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine.

During her industry career Dr Bews was a member of the Medicines Commission and of the Code of Practice Authority for Promotional Activities on which she still serves. She is currently Chair of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine Revalidation Committee, Chair of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Disciplinary Appeal Panel, Member of the Bar Standards Board Complaints Committee and since 2009 has been a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Board and Rules and Ethics Committee.
