What is an LDP?
An LDP or legal disciplinary practice is the phrase that
David Clementi used to describe the first new type of practice permitted by the
Legal Services Act. For consistency, we have continued to use the description. LDPs can be owned and managed by a combination of
different types of lawyer, and up to 25 per cent
non-lawyers. There can be no external ownership of an LDP.
