SRA invites compliance officers to attend key conference

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is inviting compliance officers to register for its free annual conference, designed to support delegates in their roles by providing an update on changes to how the SRA regulates.

The key to compliance: the SRA's second annual conference for COLPs and COFAs is being held at Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on Wednesday 26 November, 9am-5pm. The programme has been designed to focus on key elements of the SRA's reform agenda.

Senior speakers and panellists include Paul Philip, SRA Chief Executive; Richard Moorhead, Professor of Law and Professional Ethics at University College London; Michael Todd QC, former Chair of The Bar Council; Lucy Scott-Moncrieff, Chair of the Equality and Diversity Committee at the Law Society; Rachel Khiara, Partner at Khiara Law; Steve Cottee, Partner at Pinsent Masons and others from private practice.

In addition to the keynote and plenary sessions, the conference programme offers seven interactive and topical breakout sessions for delegates to choose from. Key SRA staff from a range of areas, including Authorisation, Ethics Guidance, Inclusion, Legal and Enforcement, Regulatory Management, Risk Centre and Supervision, will be hosting market stalls at the event and are available for informal discussion.
