Urgent reminder for students enrolling on the Legal Practice Course

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is reminding students intending to take the Legal Practice Course this year that they must have current Student Enrolment when they begin the LPC.

Over 3,200 students have already enrolled this year using the SRA's new online service launched in March which allows students to register, apply and make payment securely by credit or debit card.

More than 500 students took advantage of the new service during its first week of operation which was the first of the SRA's paper-based systems to go online.

Marc Baker, Director of Transformation at the SRA, said: "Enrolling online is a really simple exercise and literally only takes minutes to complete, compared to the old system of form filling.

"We urge students to log on to the website to ensure they have the required documents to enable them to pursue their studies and recommend that they apply 30 days prior to the start of their course."
