Profession encouraged to complete LSB survey

The Legal Services Board (LSB) is currently undertaking a major review of the cost of regulation.

As part of this work, the LSB is running a survey of regulated legal services providers, starting today, Monday 13 October. The LSB is keen to hear views from as wide a range of solicitors and firms as possible.

The survey will have far greater value to the LSB in considering this important issue if as many people as possible participate and give their valuable input. The LSB estimates the survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.

Richard Collins, SRA Executive Director, said: "We fully support this piece of work. We already ask the profession to tell us about the cost of regulation during the fee-setting process, and we will be interested to see the outcome of the LSB’s survey when they publish their report.

"We encourage all solicitors to take part in the survey."

Solicitors can feed back any comments they may have on practising fees directly to the SRA by emailing policy@sra.org.uk.
