Next stops for the Regulation Roadshow
SRA Update Issue 6 – October 2008
By the end of the year, we will have completed eight roadshows across the country in 2008, in addition to the six held in 2007, and are planning to step up to 10 events next year.
Solicitors in the London area are invited to attend one of two afternoon sessions being held at
- The Thistle Barbican, Clerkenwell, London, on Tuesday, 4 November, and
- Kenton Hall, Harrow, on Tuesday, 25 November.
On both dates, there will be sessions at 2.30–4.30pm and 5.30pm–7.30pm, followed by a buffet.
Attendance is free and counts for two CPD points.
SRA Chair Peter Williamson and Chief Executive Antony Townsend, supported by senior managers, will give presentations including
- an overview of the SRA,
- the implications of the Legal Services Act,
- the work of the Practice Standards Unit, and
- a Q&A session, when you will have an opportunity to raise any issues or concerns.
