Miners' knee guidance
SRA Update Issue 9 – August 2009
As from 13 July, miners and former miners who have developed osteoarthritis of the knee may qualify for payment of Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB).
We have received reports that some solicitors may have issued misleading publicity encouraging potential claimants to instruct firms to act on their behalf while failing to advise of other—free-of-charge—sources of help.
