Volunteer for our work-based learning pilot
We will launch a pilot of a new framework for work-based learning in September 2008, and are ready to begin selecting participants. Work-based learning is a new route to qualification as a solicitor. Some pilot participants will have the opportunity to qualify without completing a training contract.
If you have already volunteered to participate in the pilot, or if you are interested in volunteering, please follow the instructions under the heading Work-based learning pilot. We would like to hear from individuals, firms and assessment organisations willing to take part.
The deadline for submission of individual applications and expressions of interest from firms and assessment organisations has been extended from 6 May to 9 May 2008.
Student enrolment
We are now accepting applications for student enrolment, which is a necessary step before you can take a Legal Practice Course or enter into a training contract.
Legal Practice Course information pack
The information pack sets out the new requirements for future legal practice courses. From September 2009, providers can choose to design courses that comply with these requirements. All courses starting from September 2010 must comply with the requirements.
