You should also register if you want to apply online for an exemption from the Common Professional Examination or for a certificate of academic standing.

When you register, you are creating a web account with the SRA and the Law Society. The SRA is the independent regulatory body of the Law Society.

If you don't have a credit card or debit card, if you have previously applied to us for student enrolment, or you have made applications for a certificate of academic standing or exemptions from the CPE in the past and been given an SRA number that does not begin with "007", please don't register or try to apply on this website. Instead, please complete an offline application.
