Warning: Emails misusing the name of Duncan Lewis Solicitors

Emails have been sent misusing the identity of Duncan Lewis Solicitors as part of a scam to trick people into believing that they have won the lottery.
What is the scam?
Emails have been sent falsely claiming to be from Duncan Lewis Solicitors.
The SRA has been informed that emails have been sent to a member of the public from "M. Lynne Eversley". The email seen by the SRA is written in French and notifies the recipient that they have won the "UK National Lottery EuroMillions". The recipient is prompted to contact Duncan Lewis Solicitors on "firstname.lastname@example.org". The email also refers to an attachment, which the SRA has not seen.
It appears that this email has been sent from "M. Lynne Eversley" who is described as the 'Director of Operations'.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate an individual called "M. Lynne Eversley’". Any business or transactions through this person or through the email address "email@example.com" are not undertaken by a solicitor authorised and regulated by the SRA.

The SRA has also been informed that emails have been sent with attachments claiming that Duncan Lewis Solicitors (see below) have created loan agreements and act for a private investor.
The SRA has seen an attachment which is a Power of Attorney which has been drafted using Duncan Lewis Solicitors letterheaded paper (see below).
The SRA has been informed that two email addresses were used to contact a member of the public; "firstname.lastname@example.org" and "email@example.com". These were the email addresses which were used to send the attachments.
Any business or transactions through the above email addresses are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Duncan Lewis Solicitors Ltd (which trades as Duncan Lewis Solicitors), whose head office address is Spencer House, 29 Grove Hill Road, Harrow-On-The Hill, Harrow, HA1 3BN.
The SRA also authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Vicash Ramkissoon, who is a director at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. The genuine email address for Vicash Ramkissoon is VicashR@Duncanlewis.com.
The genuine firm confirms that neither it, nor the genuine Vicash Ramkissoon has any connection with the email, documents and email addresses referred to in the above alert.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Duncan Lewis Solicitors Ltd.
The genuine email addresses of employees at the genuine firm end in "@duncanlewis.com".
The genuine firm has confirmed that it does not have any connection with the email address, or with the email referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
