Warning: Emails misusing the name "Sophie Jerry" and "Lincoln & Rowe Limited"

Emails have been sent falsely claiming to be from "Sophie Jerry" at "Lincoln & Rowe Limited"
What is the scam?
Emails have been sent falsely claiming to be from "Sophie Jerry" at "Lincoln & Rowe Limited" (see below).
The email seen by the SRA is headed "New update" and asks the recipient to click on a link to view an encrypted message.
A concern is that the link may contain malware.
The emails appear to misuse the genuine email address of a genuine solicitor (see below).
The email also misuses the genuine address, telephone number and website address for the genuine firm (see below).
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm called Lincoln & Rowe Limited and Sophie Jerry is employed as a trainee solicitor at the firm. Her genuine email address is email@example.com.
The firm’s head office address is at 81 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1DD. Its telephone number is 0203 9686000 and the website address is www.lincolnandrowe.com/.
The genuine firm of Lincoln & Rowe Limited has confirmed that neither it nor the genuine trainee solicitor, Sophie Jerry, have any genuine and intended connection to the emails referred to in the alert above.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
