A document has been sent to a member of the public regarding an agreement between Jackson & Lyon LLP and a limited company. The document informs the recipient that Jackson & Lyon LLP 'is notarized and the agreement is legally effective and protected by the Department of Justice of the United Kingdom ' and invites the recipient to apply for a share in a fund that Jackson & Lyon LLP is due to receive.

The document misuses the name of Jackson & Lyon LLP.

Any business or transaction through the above document is not undertaken by a solicitors’ practice or by an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Jackson & Lyon LLP (SRA ID: 659252). The genuine firm has confirmed it has no connection with the above document.

What should I do?
