Warning: Website for 'Recuperate Solicitors'
16 August 2022
The website 'www.recuperatesolicitors.com' is operating and falsely claiming to be for a law firm called ‘Recuperate Solicitors.’
What is the scam?
The website 'www.recuperatesolicitors.com' is operating claiming to be for a law firm called 'Recuperate Solicitors' who are purporting to be a trading name for a genuine firm (see below).
The website also claims that 'Denis Parker' and 'Mario Fiedler' are solicitors at 'Recuperate Solicitors', and it also misuses the names of genuine solicitors (see below).
The website seen by the SRA provides a telephone number of '447916504773,' a further email address of 'support@recuperatesolicitors.com' and a postal address of '67 Wellington Road, SK4 2LP, London, UK.' It also misuses the SRA number of a genuine firm of solicitors (see below).
Any business or transaction through 'Recuperate Solicitors', 'Denis Parker', 'Mario Peidler', or the above website, telephone number or email address is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA does authorise and regulate a genuine firm of solicitors called Saunders & Partners LLP whose office address is 3-7 Temple Chambers, London, EC4Y 0DT, England, and whose genuine SRA identification number is 622823.
The genuine firm's telephone number is '020 7632 4300' and its email address is 'info@saunders.co.uk.'
The genuine firm of Saunders & Partners LLP has confirmed that it has no connection to 'Recuperate Solicitors' or the website referred to in the above alert.
The SRA also authorise and regulate a number of genuine solicitors called Peter Morgan and Richard Holden. The SRA believes that none of the genuine solicitors called Peter Morgan or Richard Holden have any connection to the website mentioned in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
