Notify us of a new Authorised Body manager/owner
You need to tell us about the following:
- a new deemed approved authorised body manager.
- a new deemed approved authorised body owner.
First, check whether the manager or owner is eligible by looking at Rule 13.2 of the SRA Authorisation Rules 2011.
Information you need
Partnership or an LLP
We do not make a distinction between the role of manager and owner. You only need to tell us about a new deemed approved manager. You can tell us by updating your firms mySRA account online.
You will only be able to add directors when updating mySRA. You must tell us about a new lawyer owner by completing the notification form.
If you do not tell us in advance you will be required to apply for approval. You must tell us before the authorised body manager or owner takes up their post.
