Regulation 21: Repeal, commencement and transitional provisions

21.1

The SRA Quality Assurance Scheme for Advocates (Crime) Notification Regulations shall cease to have effect on 30 September 2013.

21.2

These regulations come into force on 30 September 2013 but shall be implemented in phases in accordance with the table set out below.

21.3

Subject to regulation 21.4, you must register under Part 3 of these regulations in accordance with the dates set out in the table above for the Circuit within which your practising address falls or, where different, the Circuit within which you undertake the majority of your criminal advocacy.

21.4

After the relevant dates for each Circuit, as set out in the table at regulation 21.2 above, you must be accredited in accordance with these regulations before you undertake any criminal advocacy in that Circuit.
