Financial Protection Committee (2006-2009)

There are currently no members of this Committee.

To advise the board on all policy and technical matters relating to the Compensation Fund and to professional indemnity, including changes to the Qualifying Insurer's Agreement and matters remaining from or relating to the previous indemnity arrangements through the Solicitors' Indemnity Fund
To advise the board on all policy and technical matters relating to the Solicitors' Indemnity Insurance Rules, the Solicitors' Indemnity Rules and rules applying to the Compensation Fund
To exercise delegated powers in dealing with waiver applications arising under the Solicitors' Indemnity Insurance Rules and the Solicitors’ Indemnity Rules
To exercise delegated powers in dealing with all matters which call for a decision by the board under the Solicitors' Indemnity Insurance Rules, including the management of the Assigned Risks Pool and the list of qualifying insurers
To exercise delegated powers in dealing with all matters which call for a decision under the contractual arrangements concerning Solicitors' Professional Indemnity Limited
