The numbers of solicitors being admitted to the roll in England and Wales has decreased.
The table below provides a breakdown of those admitted in the 12 months to end of June 2019 and the 12 months to end of June 2020 by their routes to qualification.
In the 12 months to end of February 2020, 82% of new solicitors took the Legal Practice Course. The second most popular route was to take the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme.
