Price transparency guidance

Ahead of December's introduction of our price transparency rules, we have issued guidance designed to help you better understand what price and service information you must soon publish.

As well as explaining your mandatory obligations, the guidance also provides templates and best practice tips on publishing user-friendly information.

New research suggests that proactively publishing prices could win law firms business by debunking misconceptions over the cost of using a solicitor, compared to other professions offering similar services.

Digital Badge – confirm your website address

We will introduce a new SRA digital badge, which will confirm that you are regulated and link to information on the protections this offers your customers. To allow us set up the badge to work for your firm, we must first hold an up-to-date and accurate website address for your business within mySRA.

If you are an authorised signatory or organisation contact for you firm, we therefore need you to login to mySRA as soon as possible and check/provider this information. To do this you should:

  • log in to mySRA
  • click on My Organisations
  • click on your Organisation's name, then Office Details
  • select Edit on the relevant office
  • update your website and click save
