SRA Update e-newsletter issues

Issue 63 - September 2017

Welcome to the latest issue of SRA Update. The nights are drawing in and the temperature is dropping; there is no doubt that summer is over. I hope that many of you enjoyed a break during the warmer months. Whatever you did over the summer, we are all heading into a busy period.

The renewals period begins next week, and this issue of SRA Update has information on what you need to do, including tips on completing your continuing competence declaration, and a prompt for keeping your mySRA details up to date for those of you just wanting to stay on the Roll.

We also have news on our programme of regulatory reform. We want to get your views on our plans to make our Handbook shorter and sharper, as well as plans to share better information with the public to help them make good choices about the legal services they need. And there have been developments in anti-money-laundering regulations and the fight against cybercrime that you can catch up on too.

Paul Philip
