Warning: Emails and telephone calls misusing the name of Rosie Bracher of Rosie Bracher Solicitors LLP

Emails and telephone calls have been sent and made to a member of the public claiming to be from Rosie Bracher of Rosie Bracher Solicitors LLP.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been informed that emails and telephone calls have been made to a member of the public misusing the name of a genuine solicitor (see below).

The emails seen by the SRA are from the email address 'rosie.bracher@yahoo.com' and are signed off as 'R.Bracher'. The emails provide advice on child law.

Any correspondence from the above email address and the name 'R.Bracher' are not undertaken by an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates Rosie Bracher who is a Partner at Rosie Bracher Solicitors LLP. Rosie Bracher can be contacted on 01271 314904.

The genuine Rosie Bracher and the genuine firm of Rosie Bracher Solicitors LLP have confirmed they have no connection to the emails and telephone calls referred to in the above alert.

What should I do?

If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
