An email has been sent from a 'gmail' account, falsely claiming to be from 'Paul Bunting' of Aspinall Wright Limited.
What is the scam?
An email has been sent from the email address 'lawfirmuk07@gmail.com', falsely claiming to be from 'Paul Bunting' of Aspinall Wright Limited (see below for details of the genuine firm and solicitor).
Any business or transaction through the email address 'lawfirmuk07@gmail.com' is not undertaken by an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Paul Bunting, who is a partner in the genuine firm of solicitors Aspinall Wright Limited. The genuine email address of Mr Bunting is pb@awandco.co.uk.
The genuine Paul Bunting has confirmed that he has no connection to the email or email address referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
