Warning: Email misusing the name Solicitors Regulation Authority

Emails from lawyersdeligence@sra.org.uk are not genuine emails from the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
What is the scam?
An email purporting to be from the Solicitors Regulation Authority has been sent from the email address lawyersdeligence@sra.org.uk. The email is not genuine and uses a common obfuscation technique to disguise itself as an email (spoofing) from the SRA.
The firm name and office address is also incorrectly listed as:

12 Endeavour Square
E20 UN
The email invites the recipient to open an attachment and respond. If you receive an email message from lawyersdeligence@sra.org.uk, do not open the attachments. Delete the email message.
