A website operating at http://patrickboydlawgroup.com/ is misusing the name of Patrick Boyd.

What is the scam?

The website at 'http://patrickboydlawgroup.com/' is purporting to be a barristers' chambers called 'Patrick Boyd Law Group' and is misusing the name and profile of the genuine solicitors (see below).

The website provides an email address of 'patrickboylawgroup01@gmail.com' and a telephone number of '+447477168094' as well as various other contact details.

Any business or transaction through the website 'http://patrickboydlawgroup.com/' is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Patrick Boyd who is a partner at a genuine firm of solicitors called Simmons & Simmons LLP. His genuine profile is at https://www.simmons-simmons.com/en/people/ck0e7jpt3wf650b334zvspsl7/patrick-boyd.

The SRA also authorises and regulates another genuine solicitor Patrick Boyd who is a partner at a genuine firm of solicitors called Saunders Roberts Solicitors, Evesham. His genuine profile is at http://www.saundersroberts.co.uk/patrickboyd.

Both of the genuine Patrick Boyd have confirmed they do not have any connection to the website referred to in the above alert.
