Warning: Emails misusing the names of Kristie Lee and CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP

Emails have been sent falsely claiming to be from Kristie Lee and CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP requesting funds to be sent to an alternative bank account.
What is the scam?
The SRA has been informed that emails have been sent to a third party falsely claiming to be from a genuine solicitor at a genuine firm of solicitors (see below). The emails requested funds to be sent to an alternative bank account.
We are informed that the emails were sent from the email addresses 'Kristie.lees@cms-cnmo.com' and 'Kirstie.lee@cms-cnmo.com'.
Any business or transaction through the above email addresses is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP. Its head office address is Cannon Place, 78 Cannon Street, London, EC4N 6AF. The genuine email domain of the firm is @cms-cmno.com.
The SRA also authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor by the name of Kristie Ho Lam Lee. Kristie Lee's genuine email address is Kristie.lee@cms-cmno.com.
The genuine firm of CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP and the genuine solicitor Kristie Lee have confirmed that they have no connection to the emails referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
