SRA Board welcomes two new lay Board members

We have announced the recruitment of two new lay members to join our Board.

Taking up her new position from 1 January, Claire Bassett is a former CEO of The Electoral Commission, Parole Board and Criminal Cases Review Commission. A non-executive director of the Serious Fraud Office, she also serves on the Board of the Internet Watch Foundation.

Due to join the Board later in 2023, Rob McWilliam has extensive executive and finance experience in the retail sector including for companies such as Asda and Amazon. He also holds a number of non-executive director roles for organisations such as fruugo.com and Card Factory.

Anna Bradley, Chair of the Board, said: 'I am delighted to welcome Claire and Rob to our Board, following an open and competitive recruitment process. The skills, experience and insight they bring with them will, I know, prove invaluable as we  move forward with our work programmes and look ahead to our new Corporate Strategy.'
