Warning: Email misusing the name of Peter Felton Gerber of Feltons Law

An email has been sent misusing the name of Peter Felton Geber of Feltons Law, attaching a document which may contain malware if opened.
What is the scam?
An email has been sent misusing the name of a genuine solicitor (see below) informing the recipient that ‘Peter Felton Gerber shared Feltons Law Project Report with you'. The recipient is advised to see the enclosed document. The concern is that the attachment may contain malware if opened.
The email misuses the name of the genuine solicitor and the name and contact details of a genuine firm of solicitors.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Feltons Law. The firm can be contacted at PO Box 218, Cranbrook, Kent, TN17 9FG.
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Peter Felton Gerber who is a solicitor and sole practitioner at Feltons Law. His genuine email address is pfelton@feltonslaw.com.
The genuine Peter Felton Gerber and Feltons Law have confirmed that they have no genuine and intended connection to the email referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
