Warning: Documents misusing the name of Linda Abad

Documents have been sent to members of the public falsely claiming to be from Linda Abad
What is the scam?
The SRA has been informed that documents have been sent to members of the public falsely claiming to be from Linda Abad of 'Linda Abad Lawyers Office'.
The document seen by the SRA gives a telephone number '+44 2045484887' an email address of 'linda-abad@laws-service.com' and gives a postal address of '1 Tower Place East, Tower Place, London, EC3R 5BU', England'.
It also misuses the genuine SRA identification number for a genuine solicitor (see below).
The SRA does not authorise or regulate firms of solicitors called 'Lawyer Office' or 'Laws Service'.
Any business or transactions through firms claiming to be called 'Lawyer Office' or 'Laws Service', or the telephone number, email address and contact details listed above are not undertaken by a solicitor authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Linda Abad whose genuine SRA ID is 372991.
The genuine Linda Abad has confirmed that she has no genuine or intended connection to the documents referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
