A website 'www.simonrodkinchambers.com' is operating, falsely claiming to be for a law firm called 'Simons Rodkin Chambers'.

What is the scam?

The website 'www.simonrodkinchambers.com' is operating, falsely claiming to be for a law firm called 'Simons Rodkin Chambers'. The website misuses an address for a genuine firm of solicitors (see below). The website also provides the telephone and fax number of '+447-418-349-763', and email addresses provided are 'info@simonrodkinchambers.com' and 'simonsrodk@gmail.com'.

The SRA does not authorise or regulate a firm of solicitors called 'Simons Rodkin Chambers'. Any business or transactions through 'Simons Rodkin Chambers' or the above contact details is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Simons Rodkin Solicitors LLP. Its genuine address is 212 Regents Park Road, London, N3 3HP. The genuine telephone number is 02084466223, and its genuine email addresses use the domain '@sr-law.co.uk'. The genuine website for the firm is www.sr-law.co.uk.

The SRA also authorises and regulates a firm of solicitors called Y Bacchus & Co Limited whose address is 226 Chingford Mount Road, Chingford, London, E4 8JL.

The genuine firm of Simons Rodkin Solicitors LLP has confirmed it does not have any genuine or intended connection to the website referred to above.

The genuine firm of Y Bacchus & Co Limited is also not believed to have any connection to the website referred to in the above alert.

What should I do?

If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
