Warning: Emails from 'Peters Walker' of 'Peters Law & Associate'

Emails have been sent from 'Peters Walker' of 'Peters Law & Associate' requesting payment.
What is the scam?
Emails have been sent to a member of the public claiming to be from 'Peters Walker' of 'Peters Law & Associate’ requesting money from the recipient of the emails for payments of bail for an individual supposedly detained at a London airport. The emails seen by the SRA are sent from the email address 'Law.walkerpeters@outlook.com’.
The sender provided the recipient of the emails with a copy of his identity card claiming he is a 'Solicitor & Advocate'.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate a firm called 'Peters Law & Associate', nor do we authorise and regulate a solicitor called 'Peters Walker' (note the 's’ on the end of Peters).
Any business or transaction through 'Peters Law & Associate’, 'Peters Walker' and the email address 'law.walkerpeters@outlook.com’ is not undertaken by a firm or individual authroised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates genuine solicitors called Peter Walker (no 's'), none of whom are believed to have any connection to the emails referred to above.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
